Desktop Support Technician

Job overview

The Desktop Support Technician role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL, with pay of $18.75–$25 per hour. Compucom Staffing provides IT staffing services and solutions; this technician will support end users at a client site. The technician resolves end-user hardware, software, and network issues, maintains equipment and asset records, and supports installations, upgrades, and refresh projects. The role also documents work in ServiceNow, assists with backup and recovery procedures, and works on a rotating on-call basis.

What you'll do

• Track work using a visual task board, ServiceNow, and team meetings
• repair, test, image, and clean computers and peripherals
• troubleshoot software and hardware
• configure equipment and manage assets
• support IMAC events and refreshes
• follow up on tickets
• assist with server installations and maintenance
• perform backup, recovery, and security procedures
• diagnose network issues
• document process improvements
• support end users and the Site Leader.
