The Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department, Nights role is onsite in Tustin, CA, with a target pay range of $43–$54 per hour. The nurse supports the Emergency Department at Foothill Regional Medical Center, where care is provided to patients and families during critical moments. The RN assesses and monitors patients with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies, develops and implements care plans, and coordinates treatment with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The role also supports patient education, discharge planning, and safe transitions of care.

What you'll do

• Perform nursing assessments and ongoing monitoring
• administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions
• respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns
• document assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• develop and implement individualized care plans
• coordinate with emergency physicians, specialists, and ancillary departments
• monitor progress and revise care plans
• follow evidence-based practice, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements
• assist with discharge planning and patient education.

Why this role

Requires an active, unrestricted California RN license, at least one year of relevant acute-care experience, BLS, and PALS; ACLS certification or ability to obtain it within the established timeframe. The posting states flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed; 12-hour shifts include eight hours at the regular base rate and overtime for hours beyond eight.
