Research Therapist (PRN) — Clinical Trials

The Research Therapist (PRN) role is onsite in Seattle, Washington, with the research department operating from Seattle and Bellevue. Compensation is $110 per hour for direct participant-facing and training hours. Seattle Neuropsychiatric Treatment Center’s research program conducts Phase II and Phase III clinical trials. The therapist provides protocol-based psychological support to research participants, monitors safety and clinical status, and administers clinical assessments. The role helps research teams conduct studies in accordance with approved protocols and good clinical practices.

What you'll do

• Support participants through clinical research protocols
• monitor and rate participant activities while maintaining clinical equipoise
• provide preparatory education and post-session integration support as specified by protocol
• assess participant condition and communicate concerns to investigators
• administer clinical interviews and psychometric assessments
• conduct risk assessment and crisis management
• complete training and regulatory tasks
• assist with outreach and recruitment.

Why this role

Requires a graduate-level professional degree, psychotherapy experience, and a current unrestricted Washington State license for independent practice. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; some visits may start at 7:30 AM or end at 6:00 PM.
