Senior Software Engineer – Java/AWS

The Senior Software Engineer – Java/AWS role is hybrid, with two onsite days per week in Chicago or Peoria, IL. Compensation is $140,000–$150,000 per year. The engineer reports to the Software Engineering Manager and works within the application and technical systems organization. The role develops and maintains complex software and systems, contributing to new programs and existing mobile, web, cloud, server, and computing platforms. It also supports integration, testing, system administration, and technical guidance within an Agile/Scrum team.

What you'll do

• Design, code, test, and debug complex programs
• configure and customize purchased software
• develop system modules and infrastructure releases
• perform integrated and customer acceptance testing
• integrate in-house and purchased systems
• troubleshoot complex application and technical issues, including off-shift and weekend support calls as needed
• provide technical leadership and assist with documentation, training, and usability.
