CNC Setup Technician

The CNC Setup Technician role is onsite in Hastings, NE. Pay is $25.25–$33.50 per hour. The position supports Nebraska Aluminum Castings’ manufacturing team in producing high-precision components. The role prepares and optimizes CNC equipment so production can meet quality and productivity needs. It contributes by setting up machines, verifying programs and dimensions, troubleshooting equipment, and working with engineering and production teams to improve processes.

What you'll do

• Set up CNC milling machines and lathes, including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces
• program machines using CAM software and verify programs through simulation
• interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
• measure parts with precision instruments
• adjust parameters, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance
• collaborate on process and tooling improvements
• and maintain setup documentation, inspection reports, and machine logs.
