What you'll do

  • Manage the medication system with the psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner
  • administer and document oral and intramuscular medications
  • maintain a secure medication room
  • perform nursing, mental status, and risk assessments
  • monitor chronic conditions and medication side effects
  • provide psychoeducation and health promotion
  • coordinate with medical providers
  • educate ACT team members
  • deliver nursing care in homes and other community settings
  • support crisis intervention and care coordination.

Why this role

The weekly structure includes in-person team meetings Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and virtual meetings Tuesday and Friday, 8:45–10:30 a.m.; the daily caseload is five to seven clients. An active North Carolina RN license or APRN is required; BSN is preferred.
