The machinist independently sets up and operates 5-axis CNC machines to produce precision components, using engineering specifications and inspection practices to meet quality and production requirements.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines
• work from engineering drawings, blueprints, process documents, and specifications
• select tools, fixtures, offsets, and machining parameters
• inspect parts and perform first-piece inspections
• report non-conforming parts
• adjust processes to maintain quality and production targets
• perform basic machine maintenance
• maintain records and follow safety and quality procedures.
