The Parent Educator role is onsite in Tucson, AZ; compensation is not specified. Casa de los Niños is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote child well-being and family stability in the community. The educator implements the Parents as Teachers model and provides home-based support to families with young children, children with special healthcare needs, and prenatal women. Family assessments, parenting education, coaching, referrals, and coordination help families build skills and access resources.

What you'll do

• Implement the Parents as Teachers model and Foundational Curriculum in culturally sensitive ways
• assess family needs
• conduct home visits
• provide family support and parenting skills training
• observe and coach parenting skills
• coordinate cases and develop plans
• document services
• conduct community outreach
• collaborate with professionals and connect families to resources.

Why this role

A bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of direct family support services are preferred but not required. CPR/First Aid certification, a valid Arizona driver’s license, and an Arizona fingerprint clearance card are required.
