Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist role is onsite in Sacramento, CA. Pay is $23–$28 per hour. The position supports Singer Industrial’s customer account and billing operations. The specialist maintains accurate customer accounts and supports timely cash collection by processing payments, issuing invoices, monitoring aging balances, and resolving discrepancies. The role also contributes to month-end reporting and works with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to address billing issues.

What you'll do

• Process, post, and apply customer payments
• prepare and send invoices and account statements
• monitor accounts and follow up on past-due invoices
• maintain customer account records
• review aging reports and identify collection priorities
• research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies
• assist with reconciliations
• process approved credits and adjustments
• respond to customer questions
• support monthly reporting and month-end close
• collaborate with Sales and Customer Service
• prepare routine reports and follow company accounting policies.

Why this role

Three or more years of accounts receivable or accounting experience is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with accounting software or P21 is preferred.
