The Industrial Air Compressor Field Technician role is full-time and onsite, serving customer sites in the Staunton, Roanoke, and Lynchburg, VA area. Pay is $25–$35 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus. Ingersoll Rand provides flow creation and industrial solutions, including air compressors. The technician installs, commissions, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains industrial compressor systems at customer sites. The role also documents service work, coordinates parts, supports start-ups, communicates findings to customers, and coaches apprentices or other technicians.

What you'll do

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain compressors and compressed-air system components
• perform preventive maintenance
• document service activities
• support pre-commissioning, start-ups, installations, and repairs
• diagnose issues using measuring instruments and schematics
• coordinate parts and supplies
• communicate with customers and teammates
• coach apprentices and field technicians
• explain preventive maintenance, diagnostics, audits, and leak detection services.

Why this role

Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; daily customer-site travel within a three-hour radius; on-call rotation begins after the first 90 days and may occur as often as every four weeks.
