Maintenance and Custodial Technician

The Maintenance and Custodial Technician role is onsite in Jackson, MI, for 20–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible start and end times. Starting pay is $16 per hour. Segue, Inc. provides community-based mental health services in Jackson and Hillsdale Counties, and this role helps keep its facilities safe, clean, functional, and welcoming. The position supports the organization’s services by handling routine custodial work, basic maintenance and repairs, grounds upkeep, and general facility needs. The technician also identifies safety or maintenance concerns and reports work requiring specialized repair.

What you'll do

• Perform routine facility cleaning and custodial work
• complete basic building maintenance, minor repairs, and general upkeep
• maintain entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds
• assist with seasonal snow and ice removal and outdoor cleanup
• identify and report maintenance or safety concerns requiring specialized repair
• help with room setup, furniture movement, supplies, equipment, and other facility needs
• follow safety practices when using tools, equipment, cleaning products, and chemicals
• assist with general facility projects as needed.
