The Permanent Speech-Language Pathologist role is onsite in Orono, ME, in a skilled nursing and assisted/senior living community. Compensation is $39.50–$44.00 per hour. The position is permanent, full-time, with a 40-hour Monday–Friday schedule and a weekend rotation. New graduates are welcome to apply. The clinician supports residents across skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory support, and assisted living. The speech-language pathologist evaluates and treats communication, cognition, and swallowing needs, develops individualized plans, and collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams. The work supports residents’ functional communication, independence, dignity, and quality of life.

What you'll do

• Evaluate residents across skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory support, and assisted living
• assess speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing
• develop individualized treatment plans
• provide evidence-based therapy
• treat swallowing and feeding disorders when indicated
• educate residents, families, caregivers, and staff
• participate in care planning
• monitor progress and document care.
