CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist

The CNC Cylindrical Grinder Machinist role is onsite in Hamel, MN. Pay is $25.00–$36.00 per hour, with a $1.50-per-hour premium for second shift; a signing bonus of up to $6,000 is available depending on shift. The machinist produces components for Tolomatic’s motion-control and actuation products. The role sets up and operates CNC internal- and external-diameter cylindrical grinders to make components that meet engineering drawings, customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards. Accurate inspection and timely job-status reporting help keep assigned work on schedule.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC ID and OD cylindrical grinders
• fabricate components from engineering drawings
• verify completed work using measurement methods and inspection equipment
• follow customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards
• complete assigned jobs by scheduled due dates
• report job status and progress in the scheduling system.

Why this role

Two-year Machine Tool diploma or degree, or equivalent experience; CNC grinder setup ability, GD&T knowledge, drawing interpretation, and measurement skills. First shift options: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., or Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; second shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:25 p.m.–1:55 a.m.
