The Fire, Intrusion and Access Control Service Technician role is an onsite position based in Columbia, SC, with compensation of $35–$50 per hour. Wachter provides electrical, data, security, communications, and automation services to commercial and industrial clients. The technician installs, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs fire alarm, intrusion, access control, video, and cabling systems. The role supports safe, code-compliant system operation at customer sites through installation, commissioning, service, and coordination with project teams.

What you'll do

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling and equipment for IP video, access control, intrusion alarms, LAN/WAN, and wireless LAN
• run low-voltage cabling
• complete wiring and equipment installations
• install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program panels
• test systems and devices
• comply with codes and safety requirements
• coordinate schedules and equipment with installation leads or project managers.
