What you'll do

• Perform preliminary tests including visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, and diagnostic imaging
• guide patients through exams
• prepare exam rooms and equipment
• assist the optometrist during exams
• calibrate and maintain diagnostic equipment
• record patient history and test results in electronic health records
• assist with contact lens insertion, removal, and care
• schedule appointments and answer phone inquiries
• manage inventory.
