Specimen Collector Phlebotomist

Job overview

The Specimen Collector Phlebotomist role is onsite in Dayton, OH, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; driving between facilities may be required. Compensation is $18–$21 per hour. Millennium Health is an accredited specialty laboratory providing medication monitoring and drug testing services. The role collects blood, urine, and oral-fluid specimens, processes and packages collections for shipping, and records patient, physician-order, and laboratory information. It also supports communication between clinics and the laboratory, addresses specimen information concerns, and maintains collection supplies.

What you'll do

• Collect blood, urine, and/or oral-fluid specimens
• process and package collections for shipping
• record patient, physician-order, and laboratory information
• resolve specimen concerns involving billing or patient information
• maintain collection supplies
• observe collections when applicable
• serve as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory. Driving between facilities may be required.
