Street Outreach Worker

The Street Outreach Worker role is onsite in Covington, KY, with compensation of $17 per hour. Brighton Center’s mission is to create opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family support services, education, employment, and leadership. The worker builds relationships with runaway and homeless youth and connects youth and young adults in crisis with information, referrals, and essential services. The role includes crisis intervention, case management, coordination of shelter options, community partnerships, youth activities, aftercare, and timely grant-compliant documentation.

What you'll do

• Build rapport with runaway and homeless street youth
• provide crisis intervention and case management as needed
• identify emergency needs and coordinate referrals and shelter options
• maintain relationships with police, agencies, community leaders, and businesses
• plan youth activities and presentations
• provide aftercare and community referrals
• maintain timely documentation meeting grant requirements
• complete required training.

Why this role

Full-time, 40-hour weekly position; requires a high school diploma, age 21 or older, one year of youth experience, and a valid driver’s license. Bachelor’s degree and data collection/documentation experience are preferred.
