Porter — Café and Bakery

The Porter role is onsite in Washington, DC, at maman’s 15th and K Street location. Compensation is $17.95–$18.00 per hour. The role supports the café and bakery’s kitchen, service, and storage operations. The Porter maintains clean, organized work areas and helps keep daily service moving by washing dishes, replenishing supplies, handling deliveries, and assisting the back-of-house team with basic preparation and assigned tasks.

What you'll do

• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, dishpit, café, restroom, and service areas
• wash dishes, utensils, trays, and cookware
• replenish stock
• remove trash and recycling
• assist kitchen staff with basic prep and storage organization
• receive and store deliveries
• maintain clean, organized storage areas
• restock supplies
• assist with opening and closing cleaning
• follow food safety and health and safety guidelines.
