Automation and Controls Technician

The Automation and Controls Technician role is onsite in Redondo Beach, CA, and pays $40–$55 per hour. The technician supports Impulse Space spacecraft testing, ground-support operations, manufacturing, and industrial systems. This hands-on role builds, wires, troubleshoots, commissions, and maintains electrical and controls systems. It helps engineering and specialist teams keep test equipment and facility systems functional and supports spacecraft testing and manufacturing operations.

What you'll do

• Fabricate, assemble, wire, modify, and maintain electrical test equipment, control panels, test carts, racks, and ground-support systems. Install, configure, troubleshoot, and commission industrial electrical and controls systems
• interpret and redline schematics
• support calibration and maintenance of automated test equipment
• assist with installation and commissioning at facilities and test sites
• maintain shop tools, consumables, and hardware inventory.
