The Automation Controls Engineer role is onsite in Alliance, OH; compensation is not specified. Morgan Engineering develops material handling systems for the metals industry and is seeking a full-time engineer for its growing team. The engineer designs, develops, tests, commissions, and supports controls solutions for new and existing automated manufacturing cells. The work helps deliver reliable industrial systems and supports customers and internal manufacturing and maintenance teams.

What you'll do

• Define industrial system solutions and develop drive and automation system specifications
• design and test PC, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC control software
• select and evaluate electronic components, sensors and suppliers
• program PLCs using Ladder Logic or Function Block Diagram
• recommend test-plan changes
• troubleshoot network connectivity
• support factory acceptance testing and commissioning
• provide technical assistance to manufacturing and maintenance teams
• adapt PLC projects for customer applications
• collaborate with Electrical Project Engineers and other teams
• travel as needed
• work at heights from 30 to 300 feet.

Why this role
