The Veteran Support Advocate — Harrisburg Veterans Village role is onsite in Harrisburg, PA, with stated pay of $55,000–$65,000 per year. The advocate supports veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness as they transition into permanent housing. Through individual and group support, resource navigation, safety monitoring, crisis response, and coordination with multidisciplinary staff, the role helps participants build independence and reintegrate into the community.

What you'll do

• Support veterans’ transition into the community and use of self-directed tools
• help participants access community and internal resources
• provide individual and group support
• document and report concerns to the supportive housing team
• conduct facility walkthroughs and monitor common areas and activity
• address participant and program issues
• implement crisis management strategies
• coordinate with case managers, clinicians, and emergency services
• maintain records and attend meetings and training
• provide shift coverage as needed for 24/7 facility operations.
