Class A Shuttle Driver

The Class A Shuttle Driver role is an onsite position based in Charleston, SC, offering an annual salary range of $75,000 to $90,000. This role supports the company's food distribution operations by ensuring the efficient movement of trailers between warehouse and shuttle yard locations. The primary purpose of this role is to safely transport empty and full trailers across intrastate and interstate routes in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. The driver acts as a key team member, maintaining professional communication with customers and vendors while ensuring all equipment and freight are secure and accounted for throughout the shift.

What you'll do

• Performs pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections of tractor and trailer
• reports safety hazards and maintenance needs
• drives trailers according to predetermined routes
• performs hook/unhook procedures
• secures freight and manages customer returns
• maintains accurate DOT logs
• performs general housekeeping in the tractor and loading dock area.
