Mobile Crisis Counselor (Mental Health)

The Mobile Crisis Counselor (Mental Health) role is onsite in Madras, OR, with pay of $37.69–$41.60 per hour. The role supports BestCare's mobile crisis response and works alongside a Mobile Crisis Peer. The counselor responds to people experiencing mental health crises, assesses risk and service needs, and coordinates referrals and follow-up. The work contributes to timely crisis intervention, safety planning, and connection to treatment and community services.

What you'll do

• Respond to crisis calls and provide crisis and risk assessment and intervention, including after hours
• assess risk of harm and recommend safety planning or a higher level of care
• assess environmental safety and request law enforcement support when appropriate
• guide the Peer team member on safety plans and review crisis documentation
• consult with treatment providers and emergency departments
• link clients to mental health treatment and social services
• document in the EHR
• collaborate with community partners and complete follow-up and referrals.
