System Operations Technician – High-Pressure Natural Gas

The System Operations Technician – High-Pressure Natural Gas role is onsite in Cedar Park, TX. Compensation is not specified. The technician supports Centric’s natural gas transmission and distribution services across Texas. The role exists to maintain safe, reliable gas operations by responding to leaks, maintaining high-pressure stations and equipment, and supporting uninterrupted service. It also contributes through pipeline surveys, regulatory inspection documentation, and SCADA and cathodic protection system work.

What you'll do

• Respond to City Gate and regulator station leak calls
• locate natural gas pipelines
• independently perform high-pressure gas duties up to 1,480 PSI
• maintain meters, regulators, odorizers, stations, and systems
• complete Texas Railroad Commission inspection paperwork
• install, diagnose, and repair SCADA RTUs and related communication and power equipment
• monitor and adjust cathodic protection systems
• coordinate with Field Service
• inspect contractor work
• conduct pipeline patrols and leak surveys
• install and program commercial AMR
• participate in rotating on-call duty
• maintain required operator qualification certifications.
