Working under an RN’s supervision, the technician provides hemodialysis care, monitors patients and equipment during treatment, documents observations, and promptly reports concerning findings so the clinical team can respond and maintain patient safety.

What you'll do

• Set up, operate, disinfect, and document dialysis machine procedures
• monitor machine and reverse osmosis water system function and respond to alarms. Take and document pre- and post-treatment vital signs
• assess vascular access and report unusual findings to the RN. Perform access cannulation or catheter care as permitted by state law, apply dressings, collect patient data and blood specimens, and reinforce education about end-stage renal disease. Report abnormal findings and emergencies to the RN, follow safety and infection-prevention measures, assist with inventory, and provide customer service. Requires a high school diploma or GED, current CCHT, Bonent, or state-required certificate, and current CPR card.
