The Teppan Chef role is onsite in Bethesda, Maryland. Compensation is $22 per hour, and the position is eligible for tips. The role supports Benihana’s mission of creating great guest memories through its revolving sushi and teppan dining experience. The chef prepares meals at hibachi tables in front of guests while providing an engaging dining experience. The role also maintains food quality, sanitation, and organized cooking areas in accordance with company procedures.

What you'll do

• Welcome guests
• perform a cooking show for assigned tables
• provide information about food and respond to guest requests
• follow cooking preferences
• prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other items
• complete assigned opening and closing duties
• maintain clean and sanitary kitchen and teppan areas
• follow portion, recipe, food presentation, food storage, and food safety standards
• use kitchen tools and equipment
• follow alcoholic beverage service guidelines
• notify the Manager on Duty of guest concerns or accidents.
