Worship Leader — Contemporary and Blended Worship

The Worship Leader role is onsite in Centreville, VA, supporting the 11:00 a.m. worship service. Compensation is $11,500–$12,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role supports Centreville United Methodist Church’s music ministry and its mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. The Worship Leader provides vocal and guitar leadership, develops the Praise Team, and collaborates with music and pastoral staff to create an engaging worship experience. The role also supports worship preparation and the team’s musical and spiritual development.

What you'll do

• Lead congregational worship during the 11:00 a.m. Sunday service and other directed services or events
• support the music ministry director’s vision
• recruit and develop Praise Team volunteers
• plan and lead rehearsals
• select music under the music director’s guidance
• collaborate with musicians, vocalists, pastors, and AV team members
• manage song copyright and CCLI reporting
• participate in weekly Worship Team meetings.
