What you'll do

  • Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch information to law enforcement, fire, ambulance, emergency, or appropriate units
  • relay relevant information to field personnel
  • maintain incident and transmission logs
  • enter information into the New Mexico Department of Public Safety database
  • conduct criminal history checks for law enforcement applicants
  • administer court-required Breathalyzer tests
  • record court documentation
  • arrange detention
  • relay calls to rangers and the Environmental Department
  • assist tribal courts with community service workers.
