The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) role is onsite in Austin, TX. Compensation is not specified. Marvelous Counseling & Therapy PLLC provides therapeutic services and Texas Medicaid-contracted home- and community-based mental health services, with a focus on early evaluation and treatment. The QMHP provides mental health services to clients and families by assessing needs, developing and adjusting treatment plans, documenting progress, and connecting clients with community resources. The role also supports families, monitors medication use when applicable, and advocates for clients during emergency crises.

What you'll do

• Maintain confidential treatment records and timely progress notes
• encourage clients to discuss feelings and life circumstances
• gather information through interviews, observations, or tests
• develop and implement treatment plans
• evaluate client physical and mental condition based on client information
• refer clients to community resources
• advocate during emergency crises
• modify treatment as client status changes
• support families
• monitor medication use if applicable
• organize client programs and attend required training.

Why this role
