Job overview

The Hardware-in-the-Loop and Infrastructure Lab Technician role is onsite in Washington, DC. Pay is $29.80–$44.70 per hour. Shield AI develops intelligent systems, including autonomy software, aircraft, and simulation technologies, to support service members and civilians. The technician manages lab readiness and supports engineering teams by maintaining test infrastructure, equipment, assets, configurations, and documentation used for software development, integration testing, demonstrations, and evaluations.

What you'll do

• Manage daily lab operations and readiness
• build, install, configure, inspect, and maintain HIL racks, test benches, compute and network systems, storage, power distribution, simulation and flight hardware
• track assets and configuration records
• coordinate lab schedules and equipment reservations
• perform wiring, cable, connector, and rack work
• provision and restore development and test environments
• troubleshoot power, wiring, compute, network, software, instrumentation, and mechanical issues
• coordinate procurement, shipping, calibration, and vendor repairs
• maintain lab safety, access, cybersecurity, and operating procedures
• support integration events and demonstrations.
