The Georgia Pre-K Lead Teacher role is onsite in Cumming, GA. Compensation is not specified. The teacher supports the center’s Georgia Pre-K classroom, following the approved curriculum and providing instruction for 6.5 hours per day across at least 180 class days per contract year, plus 10 teacher work days. The role promotes children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth through developmentally appropriate instruction and a safe learning environment. It also supports families through conferences and communication and works with center leadership and an assistant teacher to meet classroom and program requirements.

What you'll do

• Plan lessons using the approved Georgia Pre-K curriculum
• instruct and supervise a classroom of 22 children with a Para-Pro Assistant Teacher
• maintain a safe, clean, and age-appropriate classroom
• adapt activities to children’s backgrounds and learning needs
• report injuries and suspected abuse or neglect as required
• communicate with parents and conduct conferences
• maintain confidentiality and child records
• attend meetings and required training
• meet program deadlines and licensing requirements.
