The Associate Scientist III, Quality Control — Second Shift role is onsite in Madison, WI. Compensation is $80,000–$100,000 per year. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 1:00–11:30 p.m., with a 10% shift differential. Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals develops RNAi-based medicines for diseases with a genetic basis; this role supports its Quality Control organization and GMP manufacturing. The scientist performs in-process control and release testing for oligonucleotide drug substances and stability samples, delivering accurate results within sample hold times. The work supports real-time batch disposition and requires coordination with manufacturing and QC colleagues across shifts.

What you'll do

• Receive, prepare, and test in-process control samples using approved methods and SOPs
• perform analytical testing such as LCMS, HPLC, UV, Karl Fischer, pH, and endotoxin testing
• record data and results in real time in laboratory records and batch documentation
• support OOS, OOT, and deviation investigations
• monitor sample hold times and communicate risks or atypical results
• maintain a clean, compliant laboratory work area
• coordinate shift handoffs with QC and manufacturing staff.
