Construction Inspector – Materials Testing Technician

The Construction Inspector – Materials Testing Technician role is primarily field-based, with projects typically within a two-hour radius of Columbus, OH. Compensation is $20–$25 per hour. What you'll do

• Inspect and test concrete, rebar, soils, and other building materials on vertical construction projects
• report on construction work in progress
• may inspect and sample materials
• perform calculations and plot data
• assist engineers with field investigations
• verify quality control, quality assurance, and testing against standards and project documents
• may perform laboratory testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt
• inspect contractor compliance with specifications and plans
• maintain project records and reports
• notify contractors or project engineers of non-conforming work.
