Network Operations Center Communications Specialist — Second Shift

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Communications Specialist role is onsite in Harrisburg, PA, on a Saturday–Wednesday schedule from 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with Thursday and Friday off; the schedule is 37.5 hours per week. Compensation is not specified. The position provides after-hours and weekend Level 1 network support for Pennsylvania Commonwealth agencies and their employees and business partners. The specialist serves as a first point of contact for network incidents, monitors network status and ticket queues, and coordinates escalation and service restoration. This work helps maintain support for agencies that provide 24/7 services to citizens.

What you'll do

• Answer inbound calls about network issues
• create and escalate ServiceNow trouble tickets
• monitor network management tools, network assets, email accounts, and ticket queues
• investigate and log incidents
• follow escalation processes for outages and high-priority issues
• coordinate with network staff, vendors, and service providers
• issue network status updates
• update operational documentation and knowledgebase materials
• participate in disaster recovery.
