Assembly Mechanic

The Assembly Mechanic role is onsite in Victor, NY, with compensation of $18–$28 per hour. The position supports Freedom Outboard’s operations and growth as it develops outboard motors. The mechanic assembles and tests motors and subassemblies, checks components against blueprints and specifications, and supports inventory, shipping, and receiving. The role contributes to accurate assembly and functional testing of the company’s motors while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

What you'll do

• Assemble motors and subassemblies
• read blueprints and specifications
• inspect components for fit and conformance
• modify components and blueprints as needed
• drill and tap holes
• align and fasten parts
• debug motor and logic functionality
• maintain stock inventory
• assist with motor testing
• package and ship motors
• maintain a clean work area and follow safety procedures
• travel as required.
