The Grocery / Bulk Department Manager role is onsite in McMinnville, OR, paying $20 per hour. The manager is responsible for the successful operation and profitability of Natural Grocers’ Grocery and Bulk Departments. The role leads department staff and manages purchasing, inventory, merchandising, customer service, and profitability. It contributes to a well-stocked, inviting department and supports store operations, including scheduled Manager on Duty responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Provide customer service
• create inviting, full, shoppable departments
• order products and maintain inventory
• manage margin and profitability, shrink, and purchasing
• merchandise shelves, endcaps, and displays
• oversee tagging, facing, rotation, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock
• train and monitor staff
• assist with hiring
• handle opening and closing duties and register functions
• work evenings, weekends, and holidays as store needs require.

Why this role

The schedule is five days and 40 hours per week and includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and mandatory store meetings. Forklift certification must be obtained.
