Direct Support Professional, Community-Based Support

The Direct Support Professional role is an in-person, community-based position supporting an individual in Parlin, NJ. What you'll do

• Assist with daily living and personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation
• teach and reinforce independent living skills
• follow individualized service plans and behavior support strategies
• provide transportation to appointments and community activities
• encourage social and recreational participation
• promote safety and communicate professionally with guardians and agency staff. The schedule is three service days weekly: two weekdays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one weekend day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
