Maintenance Technician II — Manufacturing Equipment

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician II role is onsite in Wichita, KS. Compensation is $28–$31 per hour. Envision’s stated mission is to improve quality of life and provide opportunity for people who are blind or visually impaired through employment, outreach, rehabilitation, education, and research; this role maintains equipment at its plastic film converting manufacturing operation. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, rebuilds, and maintains production and packaging machinery. The role supports equipment reliability and product quality through preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, testing, documentation, and communication with production personnel.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• dismantle and rebuild machinery
• inspect and replace worn parts
• test equipment after repairs
• read schematics
• perform preventive maintenance and electrical troubleshooting
• work with drives and PLCs
• process maintenance requests
• identify parts
• assist with training technicians
• communicate equipment and safety information.
