Working under direct supervision, the Medical Assistant provides patient services and education, completing front-office or clinical support duties as trained to help patients access care and support health center operations.

What you'll do

• Maintain patient records and enter information into electronic health record systems
• support patient access and demand goals
• greet patients, schedule appointments, assist with check-in and paperwork, and handle insurance and payment processes as assigned
• under clinician direction, dispense medication and supplies
• perform basic diagnostic testing, collect vital signs, prepare lab specimens, assist with procedures, and provide basic factual patient education as assigned.
