Responsibilities include monitoring, counseling and educating families, coordinating communication among clinicians and families, admission histories and physicals, pre- and postoperative management and assessments, and discharge summaries. The schedule is a four-day work week with a rotating 1:5 weekday and weekend call schedule.

What you'll do

• Consult with patients with chronic cardiac issues or recovering from acute cardiac events
• monitor patients
• counsel and educate families
• liaise among doctors, patients, families, and hospital staff
• perform admission histories and physicals, pre- and postoperative management and assessments, and discharge summaries. Work a four-day week and rotating 1:5 weekday and weekend call. Requires at least two years of cardiology, surgery, or cardiovascular experience
• PA license and NCCPA certification for PAs
• specified ACNP or qualifying FNP experience for nurse practitioners.
