Production Utility – Pet Food Manufacturing (Overnight)

The Production Utility role is an onsite position in Brainerd, MN, with a stated base pay of $22.50–$25.50 per hour, plus a $3.00 shift differential. The role supports Barrett Petfood’s production process and its mission to nourish pets with quality products. This hands-on position helps keep production running safely and ensures pet food meets product specifications. The team member operates and cleans production equipment, inspects product, tests kibble, troubleshoots equipment, and maintains a clean work area.

What you'll do

• Operate plant production equipment, including the extruder, dryer, and vertical cooler
• set up and clean the extruder
• inspect product for customer specifications, density, and size
• test kibble
• mix and add palatants
• troubleshoot equipment
• clean around plant machinery
• follow safety protocols. The schedule stated in the posting is Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM.
