Job overview

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Shelby, NC. Compensation is not specified. The role also performs preventive maintenance, supports equipment installation and calibration, and works with staff, contractors, engineers, and vendors to maintain plant equipment and facilities.

What you'll do

  • Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions
  • troubleshoot and repair PLC problems
  • perform lockout/tagout procedures
  • work with outside contractors on troubleshooting
  • analyze and repair equipment to restore production
  • read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and mechanical and electrical diagrams
  • assemble components using hand and power tools
  • assist with installation and operation of new equipment
  • schedule and perform preventive maintenance and calibration
  • diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions
  • rebuild equipment and order replacement parts
  • comply with OSHA and other regulations
  • work with engineers, contractors, vendors, and staff
  • provide input on equipment design and blueprints
  • operate tools and welding and cutting equipment
  • fabricate parts as needed
  • help train staff in work techniques and safety
  • maintain plant facilities and equipment.
