Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Webster, MA, with compensation of $16 per hour. The position supports Lanessa Extended Care’s recreation department in providing residents with activities and events that enrich daily life. The assistant organizes engaging programs based on residents’ interests and encourages participation in activities that support physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being. The role also communicates significant findings to nursing staff and supports resident care goals with the therapeutic team.

What you'll do

• Organize resident events and activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, games, and parties
• build relationships with residents
• develop activity ideas based on residents’ interests
• help coordinate staff recognition events
• encourage participation in activities of daily living
• document and report unusual or significant findings to nursing
• report reportable events promptly
• support resident care goals with the therapeutic team.
