The Detox Therapist position is onsite in Chantilly, VA, at an adult medical detox and residential treatment facility. Compensation is $78,000–$93,500 per year, depending on licensure and experience. Sandstone Care provides behavioral health services focused on high-quality care. The therapist provides clinical support to clients experiencing withdrawal and co-occurring mental health needs. Through therapy, assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and coordination with medical and clinical colleagues, the role contributes to an integrated and therapeutic treatment environment.

What you'll do

• Facilitate evidence-based group and individual therapy for clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders
• conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans with the treatment team
• maintain clinical documentation
• participate in utilization reviews and medical necessity discussions as needed
• coordinate with medical, psychiatric, and clinical teams
• educate clients and families about addiction, recovery, and mental health
• uphold ethical and professional standards
• participate in program development, team meetings, and performance improvement initiatives.
