The Afternoon Shift Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Knoxville, TN, with typical hours of 2:00–6:00 p.m. Pay is $15–$16 per hour. CSUMC Preschool provides early childhood education in a safe, supportive environment and encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive growth through play. The assistant supports teachers by supervising children, leading structured activities, responding to children's needs, and helping maintain a clean and orderly classroom. The role contributes to children's safety and well-being during classroom, play, and pickup routines.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and lead daily structured activities
• supervise children in classrooms and during gym or playground play
• assist with personal hygiene and immediate needs
• follow authorized pickup procedures and record departures in Brightwheel
• help with light cleaning and closing procedures
• participate in required professional development
• maintain professional and ethical interactions with children, parents, and staff.

Why this role
