The Corporate Attorney, Mergers & Acquisitions role is onsite in Lansing, MI, with a stated salary range of $275,000–$450,000 per year. Direct Counsel is partnering with a nationally recognized AmLaw 200 law firm for its corporate business unit. The attorney will advise on employee benefits and ERISA matters in corporate transactions, helping clients address plan compliance and benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions. The work also includes negotiating and drafting executive employment agreements and incentive plans.

What you'll do

• Counsel employee benefit plan sponsors on ERISA and IRS requirements for 401(k) plans
• review merger and acquisition agreements for employee benefits and ERISA issues
• negotiate and draft executive employment agreements and incentive plans
• support ERISA compliance.
