Structural Engineer III

The engineer designs, evaluates, and certifies products and services, including mission payloads, electronic systems, ground vehicles, and test platforms. Structural analysis and cross-functional design work support product development and testing throughout the product lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Analyze metallic structures and, as applicable, composite and additive-manufactured structures
• lead structural component analysis
• review designs and integrate structural designs into overall systems
• collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• oversee development and execution of structural tests
• prepare substantiation reports
• perform static and dynamic analyses using hand calculations and FEA tools
• analyze steel and aluminum structures, bolted joints, welds, and components exposed to shock and vibration.

Why this role
