The Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Fort Wayne, IN. Pay is $14–$15.50 per hour. The Learning Experience seeks an assistant to support the care, learning, and development of infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children. Working with a Lead Teacher, the assistant helps maintain a safe, engaging classroom and supports children’s routines and learning activities. The role contributes to children’s development and a positive experience for families while following center procedures and licensing requirements.

What you'll do

• Engage children in age-appropriate learning, play, and activities
• assist the Lead Teacher with lessons, routines, and transitions
• supervise children and support safety
• assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing
• communicate with families about daily experiences
• maintain a clean classroom
• prepare learning materials
• follow licensing, health, safety, and sanitation requirements
• participate in required training.
