Registered Nurse Clinical Nurse Coordinator — Ortho/Neuro Trauma

The Registered Nurse Clinical Nurse Coordinator role is onsite in Kansas City, MO, on the Ortho/Neuro Trauma unit. Compensation is $35–$47 per hour. The role supports shift-level operations at a hospital with a Level I Trauma Center, Primary Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, and orthopedic and neurology trauma services. The coordinator leads and evaluates nursing care during the shift, serves as a resource for bedside staff, and supports patient flow, staffing, quality, and staff development on the unit.

What you'll do

• Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with the management team
• oversee admissions and discharges
• participate in unit-level care quality assessment
• assist with scheduling and labor management based on census and productivity
• maintain supplies and equipment
• conduct employee rounding and support hourly rounds
• provide input on hiring, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution.

Why this role

Requires recent acute-care Medical-Surgical experience; current or recent charge RN experience is strongly preferred. BCLS and ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of starting.
