CNC Lathe Operator

Job overview

The CNC Lathe Operator role is full-time and onsite in Houston, TX, with pay of $16–$23 per hour. FERPA Precision Machine produces precision parts and components, including for aerospace manufacturing. This role operates CNC lathes to make parts that meet blueprint, work-instruction, and quality requirements. The operator loads materials and programs, monitors equipment, makes authorized basic adjustments, and inspects finished parts to support reliable production.

What you'll do

• Operate CNC lathes according to production schedules, work instructions, and supervisor direction
• monitor machine operation
• load raw materials and unload completed parts
• read blueprints and job specifications
• load provided machine programs
• select, measure, install, and secure tooling under guidance
• verify operating parameters and make authorized minor adjustments
• inspect parts with precision measuring instruments
• document in-process inspections and production records
• assist with routine maintenance and tooling replacement
• report production or quality concerns
• move materials as needed
• maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety and PPE requirements.
